Lavender Soap

Lavender has long been known for its charms of scent and color. Lavender soap marries both the color and the aroma of this delightful flower into a functional refreshing soap. It has been used for generations to stay clean and fresh.

Today lavender soap can either be made in your own home or purchased at most stores. Most commercial soap makers offer a lavender bar soap or body wash. Specialty soap makers will also frequently feature such soap due to its timeless relevance.

Making you own lavender soap can be accomplished by either using real lavender stalks or by using its pre-extracted oils. The former process is obviously more difficult and requires a bit more equipment and skill, though it too is a relatively easy process. Making it from extracted oils is as easy as adding the oils to your soap mix.
